Apple's Logic Pro X Digital Audio Workstation includes features that greatly simplify managing expressive sample libraries. Instrument variations are described through a Logic-specific feature called Articulation Sets.

While they're extremely useful, they're not standardized across digital audio workstations, so they don't come with the libraries. They are frustrating to set up and not every master controller is ideally suited to sending the commands required to switch between articulations. These projects address one aspect or another of that situation.
